Putting It All Together
Create a PowerPoint presentation that addresses each of the following points/questions.
Citation should begin from slide 3.
Slide 2 should be objective slide.
Title slide, objective slide and reference slide does not count towards the required slides.
5 pictures on 5 different slides.
Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point.
Use clear headings that allow your professor to know which bullet you are addressing on the slides in your presentation.
Support your content with at least two (2) sources and the textbook using APA citations throughout your presentation.
Make sure to cite the sources using the APA writing style for the presentation. Include a slide for your references at the end. Follow best practices for PowerPoint presentations related to text size, color, images, effects, wordiness, and multimedia enhancements.
This week, you will develop a PowerPoint presentation reviewing the theories as below:
- Nightingale’s Environmental Theory
- Peplau – the nurse–patient relationship
- Orlando’s theory guide
- King’s Conceptual System Theory
- Neuman Systems Model
- Leininger’s Culture Care Model
- Watson’s Theory-Love, Transpersonal caring
- Parse’s theory of Human Becoming
After reviewing the above mentioned theories, Please answer the following questions. You should have 2 slides per theory with a total of 8 theories discussed.
- Describe the theory
- Provide 3 examples of how the theory applies to current practice – Give 3 examples of each theory (number and label examples, such as Nightingale Example 1. ….)
- Provide 3 positive patient outcomes resulting from utilizing the theory (List/explain 3 benefits (label as Patient Outcomes)
- Explain 3 benefits to nursing satisfaction when utilizing the theory (label as Nursing Satisfactions)
- Describe two barriers to using the theory in practice and at least one method for overcoming each barrier (support methods with sources) (Example: Barrier 1-…..(Method to overcome…..) – Two Barriers and methods to overcome for each)
- Support from literature clearly noted throughout
The PowerPoint presentation should include at least 3 outside references and the textbook. The presentation should contain 2 slides per theory
