• For this discussion, review all of the possible instructional procedures in Part 4 of the text, pages 435 – 483. Not all the activities will lend themselves to a Microteaching lesson, but many wills. For example, Sustained Silent Reading or Running Records are NOT something you could demonstrate.

• As you begin to consider your lesson, choose 2 activities that you might consider implementing in your microteaching lesson to engage your students and effectively teach your strategy. Discuss the activities and your thoughts about how they might support your strategy, using information from the text.
